OUR 2024 HOLIDAY CLASSIC INVITATIONAL EVENT 🎄❄️
The Holiday Invitational Classic held in Waterbury, Connecticut, over the weekend before Christmas was an exciting showcase of high school basketball, featuring both boys’ and girls’ teams that brought their best to the court. The event fostered a competitive atmosphere, emphasizing learning, leadership, and mentorship for all participants. Coaches and players alike demonstrated tremendous sportsmanship, creating an inspiring environment for everyone involved.
The girls’ games featured an impressive lineup of teams, with Wilton High School, Newington High School, Northwest Catholic High School, and Conard High School putting forth remarkable performances. Each game offered valuable lessons and challenges that will undoubtedly contribute to the athletes' development throughout the season. The competitive spirit displayed by all teams showcased their dedication and hard work, setting a positive tone for the remainder of the year.
On the boys' side, teams including Archbishop Molloy, Bishop Hendricken, New Fairfield, Stamford, Hillhouse, Holy Cross, Crosby, and Kolbe Cathedral took to the court in a series of thrilling matchups. Each game highlighted the incredible talent of the athletes and provided a rigorous early-season test that will aid in their growth as players. The high level of competition and the showcase of teamwork and resilience were truly commendable.

The Girls Holiday Invitational Classic delivered an exciting day of high-energy basketball, with each game showcasing the incredible talent and determination of the participating teams. Wilton High School secured a hard-fought victory over Notre Dame Fairfield in the opening game, setting the tone for the day. In the second matchup, Newington High School came out on top against St. Paul High School in a competitive showdown. Northwest Catholic High School prevailed over East Catholic High School in a thrilling third game, while Conard High School closed out the event with an impressive win against Guilford High School. Congratulations to all the teams for their efforts and sportsmanship on display!

The boys' games at the Holiday Invitational Classic brought thrilling competition and impressive performances. Archbishop Molloy High School secured a victory over Bishop Hendricken in a high-scoring 83-76 matchup. Stamford High School followed with a hard-fought 62-54 win against New Fairfield. Hillhouse High School triumphed over Holy Cross 79-70 in a dynamic contest, and Kolbe Cathedral closed the event with a 67-57 victory against Crosby. Congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship!
